Wooden garages aren’t usually the first thing that comes to mind when listing the most versatile timber garden buildings.
People often don’t even realize that they could be more than just a place for parking cars. The truth, however, is that Lugarde wooden garages are more versatile than you might have thought, as there are many different ways they can be used.
That includes both ideas that can be combined with being a shelter for your car, as well as complete transformations that do not make any provisions for storing a car at all.
To help you navigate all the possibilities that a Lugarde wooden garage can provide, we have picked out some great ideas that you can see in the image gallery above.

Lugarde was founded by Bertus Wuestman in 1978. Bertus worked as a thatcher with his father when he was young, but customers soon asked if he could also supply summerhouses. So, in 1978, Bertus developed his first summerhouse, of course with a thatched roof. Many new designs followed with other roof coverings as well. Lugarde has now grown into a company with hundreds of summerhouses, log cabins, garden rooms, gazebos, garages, and even holiday homes.
In 2016, Bertus’ son and daughter took over the company; Andrea is now the Director-owner, and Thomas holds a management position. Lugarde employs 180 people split across their HQ in Laren (Gelderland), The Netherlands, and their production site in Latvia.
For more than 40 years, Lugarde has been designing and producing high-quality garden buildings, with thousands of happy customers all over Europe, including the Dutch royal family.
High quality at a decent price, that’s what Lugarde offers you. Lugarde has its own factory with a design and drawing department which enables them to guarantee quality.
Lugarde also cares about sustainability; to date, they’ve planted 425,000 trees and act to minimize waste.
